    Learning to Give More

Service to others is an essential part of a complete education. Morasha has received local and national recognition for our efforts in environmental awareness and a groundbreaking interfaith project with local Christian and Muslim schools.

Our"Tzedakah" (Charity) ranges from collecting aid for disaster victims to collecting toys for underprivileged children.

Our "Gemilut Hasadim" (Acts of Loving Kindness) includes intergenerational programs assisting Senior Citizens as well as gleaning food for the hungry.

Our "Tikkun Olam" (Repairing the World) projects help students understand the importance of caring. Plus much, much more. The concern for global conservation and ecology is a concern from the moment God said, "...let there be light." Repairing the world is a key Jewish value, one that is embedded in the missions and values of Morasha. We are also bringing together the spectrum of Judaism by working with synagogues for the Reconstructionist movement to the Orthodox movement in addition to non-affiliated Jews. morasha has sought the input of secular organizations within and outside of the Jewish community., providing a balanced take on environmental issues.

This initiative culminates with Morasha's community wide festival, Leave only Footprints. Held on the Morasha campus, all walks of life join together to celebrate the planet we all share.
