Several years ago Morasha Jewish Day School purchased 4 acres of prime property in Rancho Santa Margarita, one of the fastest growing Jewish communities in Orange County. Today, with close to 100 students - Preschool through grade 6 - housed in temporary modular space there is no room for future growth and expansion. With city restrictions on any new modulars being added, the time is NOW for Morasha to build permanent educational facilities!!!
Today we are closer to that dream than ever before. To date, over and above the $2 million that was raised and spent in purchasing the land, an additional $2.5 million dollars has been committed to Phase I of this ambitious building project (over half of our goal). These funds have been raised during the "quiet" phase of our campaign efforts.
As we bring the vision and opportunity of this important Capital Campaign project with the greater community, we are encouraged by the enthusiastic response we are receiving. With the recent opening of the Samueli Campus, the Merage Family Jewish Community Center and Tarbut V'Torah's High School complex, there is a stronger sense of "community" here in Orange County than ever before. South County, one of the fastest growing regions in the area, is the next logical place for this Jewish community to stake out ground and invest in a vibrant physical presence. Morasha Jewish Day School has pioneered this investment in bringing a quality Jewish day school education to this area. Morasha also stands ready to partner in any variety of ways with other community agencies, organizations and synagogues to send a clear message that South County offers a thriving Jewish community.
Please join us in this important endeavor for Morasha, for quality Jewish Day School education and for our community.
B'Shalom
